Our Story

As an early childhood occupational therapist, I spent my early career working in a birth-to-three center in Federal Way and preschools and elementary schools in the Puyallup School District. I have always loved working with children and especially raising my son, Cameron. Cameron was the light of my life and the most generous, kind person I knew. He was a friend to everyone he met and he made a point to make other people feel valued and important. His laugh and smile was contagious!!

In 2013, I lost my dear Cameron in a car accident. I had to ask myself how to move forward working with other people’s children when I had lost my only child. I quickly remembered all of the children and families I had worked with over the years and the impact they each had on my life and I couldn't imagine doing anything else! So I decided to move forward honoring Cameron, being a “ripple” of Cameron's life and to take every opportunity to make people feel valued and important.

In 2015, Commencement Children’s Therapy opened and Cameron guiding me every step of the way!! We have created a space that families and children feel supported as they navigate the delights and challenges of “neuro-spicy” life! We welcome you to our clinic and thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey!

Ripple On!!
